Características
SST - System Suitability Test
The SST extension serves to monitor the correct function of the chromatography system.
The program compares up to 12 selected parameters (e.g. retention time, efficiency, asymmetry of peaks) calculated according to one of three pre-selected methods (USP, EP, JP).
These calculated values are either compared to the user's set limit values for each chromatogram separately or together for the selected series. Deviation of any parameter from the permissible limits is immediately reported and may lead to the termination of the sequence in progress.
The SST Extension allows the user to monitor the parameters of individual substances and thus evaluate the reproducibility of the results of the entire chromatography system.
The SST extension is required when using the Validation Kit.
GPC - Gel Permeation / Size Exclusion
Gel Permeation Chromatography (GPC) / Size Exclusion Chromatography (SEC) is the technique used for obtaining a rapid and reliable characterization of polymer molecular weight and molecular weight distribution.
GPC Extension provides interactive and automated GPC analysis, including recalibration and GPC reporting, as well as simplifies the retrieval of GPC data. The GPC Extension allows flow rate and multi-detector delay corrections and includes Narrow, Broad and Broad on Narrow calibrations.
The GPC Extension is optional add-on software for the Clarity Chromatography Station (starting from version 2.3) and Clarity Offline. The GPC mode is available to any Instrument within the software.
PDA - Photo Diode Array
The Clarity PDA Extension is a tool that is used for processing data that has been acquired from selected photo diode array detectors. Spectral data, together with chromatograms, add a third dimension to analytical data analysis.
The Clarity PDA Extension expands the capability of Clarity Chromatography software by providing interactive spectral analysis, peak purity analysis and compound identification that is based on a spectral library search. PDA data can be displayed in a set of optional views including 3D rendering.
The PDA Extension is an optional Extension for the Clarity Chromatography Station (starting from version 2.4) and Clarity Offline Chromatography Station. The Clarity Chromatography Station is designed to acquire and evaluate data from up to four chromatographs at a time (multi-detector measurement support). Any Instrument within the Clarity station can use the PDA Extension.
All data is saved in a single file; a chromatogram at any wavelength or even only a spectrum can simply be recalled for review after an analysis. UV-VIS spectra, acquired using a PDA detector, may be interactively selected from a chromatogram signal for visual inspection and comparison. The spectra may also be used for peak purity determinations, wavelength optimization and component identification through spectral libraries.
A control modules for selected detectors (see list of control modules) are available. Additional control modules for other PDA detectors can be developed upon request.
EA - Elemental Analysis
EA Extension is a software module for Elemental Analysis. Determining the Carbon, Hydrogen, Nitrogen, Oxygen, and Sulphur (CHNS-O) content of unknowns is one of the most basic and essential needs of any chemist. EA Extension provides a simplified version of the Clarity user interface that speeds up the workflow with elemental analyzers equipped by autosamplers. EA Extension is an optional addition to Clarity software, it cannot be used as a standalone program. Its user interface is optimized for maximum efficiency in repetitive tasks. Using features that are specific to EA Analysis, such as Standard Table, automatic weight input from analytical balance and other improvements, EA Extension provides an interactive and automated tool for determining the Carbon, Hydrogen, Nitrogen, Oxygen, and Sulfur (CHNS-O) content of unknowns.
CE - Capillary Electrophoresis
The Clarity CE is an optional Extension for the Clarity Chromatography Station (from version 2.4.4). The Clarity Chromatography Station can acquire data from any Capillary Electrophoresis system with standard analog output. CE mode is selectable for any Clarity Instrument. CE Extension is compatible also with Clarity Offline software. CE module provides specific terminology, evaluation by time corrected area and peak identification by peak start or end (additionally to peak apex).
NGA - Natural Gas Analysis
NGA Extension is a software module for Natural Gas and Liquefied Petroleum Gas Data Processing. You no longer need an external tool for gas properties calculations since the Clarity contains the complete workflow of data acquisition, peak calibration, gas properties calculations based on supported norms and reporting. It is possible to perform summary calculations of gas properties from multiple signals and chromatograms.
Calculations in the NGA Extension currently support these norms:
Natural Gas
• ISO 6976-95 Natural gas - Calculation of calorific values, density, relative density and Wobbe index from composition.
• ASTM D 3588-98 Standard Practice for Calculating Heat Value, Compressibility Factor, and Relative Density of Gaseous Fuels.
• GPA 2172-09 Calculation of Gross Heating Value, Relative Density and Compressibility Factor for Natural Gas Mixtures From Compositional Analysis.
Liquefied Petroleum Gas
• ASTM D 2421-02 Standard Practice for Interconversion of Analysis of C5 and Lighter Hydrocarbons to Gas-Volume, Liquid-Volume, or Weight Basis.
• ASTM D 2598-02 Standard Practice for Calculation of Certain Physical Properties of Liquefied Petroleum (LP) Gases from Compositional Analysis.
• ISO 8973-97 / EN589-04 Liquefied petroleum gases - Calculation method for density and vapor pressure
DHA - Detailed Hydrocarbon Analysis
DHA Extension is a software module for Detailed Hydrocarbon Analysis. It allows the determination of individual components in spark ignition engine fuels. Clarity brings you the ability to calculate the properties of the samples directly in the data station with the complete workflow of data acquisition, peak calibration, DHA calculations based on supported norms and reporting. These methods are often referred to as PONA, PIONA, O-PONA, etc.
It is possible to create a custom norm which will meet the conditions in your laboratory.
Calculations in the DHA Extension currently support these norms:
ASTM D-6730
Included in p/n A33
Standard Test Method for Determination of Individual Components in Spark Ignition Engine Fuels by 100–Metre Capillary (with Precolumn) High-Resolution Gas Chromatography.
Custom Method
Included in p/n A33.
Allows you to create custom norm which will meet the conditions in your laboratory.
MS - Mass Spectrometry
The Clarity MS Extension is a tool that is used for processing data that has been acquired from selected Mass Spectrometry detectors. Spectral data, together with chromatograms, add a third dimension to analytical data analysis.
The MS Extension expands the capability of Clarity and Clarity Offline Chromatography software by providing interactive spectral analysis, peak purity analysis and compound identification that is based on a spectral library search. The extension is prepared to function with single quadrupole MS detectors and TOF MS detectors.
The Clarity Chromatography Station is designed to acquire and evaluate data from up to four chromatographs at a time (multi-detector measurement support). Any Instrument within the Clarity station can use the MS Extension.
All data is saved in a single file; a chromatogram at any m/z value or even only a spectrum can simply be recalled for review after an analysis. MS spectra, acquired using a MS detector, may be interactively selected from a chromatogram signal for visual inspection and comparison. The spectra may also be used for peak purity determinations and component identification through spectral libraries.
It is possible to import MS data in AIA (cdf), mzXML, MzML and mzData formats.
Control modules for selected detectors (see list of control modules) are being prepared for Clarity version 5.0.3, with further MS detectors being supported with next versions.
